Get to know Christinah Nicolaisen, the Cloudberry Expert
Christinah, better known as Chris, grew up watching her mom work her way up the hair and beauty industry. From the age of 12 she knew that she wanted to be a part of the family business. Her keen interest in cosmetics, retail, technology, and trend forecasting led her down an interesting path – directly into a patch of cloudberries. Together with her mother, they developed an innovative line of skin and hair products infused with cloudberry seed oil that is taking the industry by storm.
She took some time from her busy schedule to answer questions about a few of her favorite things…including the arctic berry we can’t get enough of.
When you think of cloudberry, what is the first thing that comes to mind?
I think of two things: That it’s one of the best-kept Scandinavian secrets and that it’s full of antioxidants.

Which skin care product can you not live without?
Our Face Serum! It has an amazing texture and is very rich in antioxidants and vitamins that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is infused with cloudberries and our customers have had amazing results. We knew we had something special after completing clinical studies and discovered that this serum increases the skin’s cell renewal by 22 percent after just 24 hours.
Do you have a favorite cheat meal?
French cheese fondue. No matter how full I get, I just can’t stop eating it.
What is your favorite city in the world and why?
In my opinion, Buenos Aires is the best city in the world. It has it all: amazing food (especially ice cream, it’s next-level), incredible people, great nightlife, rich culture and lots of things to do. Uruguay is just an hour away by car, and if you fly two hours north you get to a small place called Iguazu, home to one of the largest waterfalls in the world and is absolutely spectacular.
What is the best gift you’ve ever received?
A French bulldog with lots of personality. It was a birthday gift from my mom.

How about the best gift you’ve ever given?
My mom is very hard to surprise, so I planned a very elaborate birthday for her. I flew in my brother from Kuala Lumpur dressed as a polar bear and even had our Eleni & Chris team video their birthday messages for her. The look on my mother’s face was priceless!
Describe your mom in two words.
Brave and warm. Brave because of the amazing courage she has had to build a business from scratch with 14 children. And warm because she is an extraordinary person who always do good to others.
